1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Vaulta Wallet collects, uses, and protects information in connection with your use of the Vaulta Wallet software and any related official websites or services. It describes what types of information may be processed, how that information is handled, and what rights you may have regarding your data.

Vaulta Wallet is designed as a non-custodial desktop application that enables interaction with the Vaulta blockchain. The Wallet does not require account registration and does not directly collect or control blockchain-level transaction data. This Privacy Policy applies only to information that may be collected through the operation of the Software or associated services and does not apply to public data recorded on the Vaulta blockchain.

Key Principle: Vaulta Wallet is built to minimize data collection. We do not store your Private Keys, Recovery Phrase, or Digital Assets, and we do not have access to your blockchain transactions beyond what is publicly available on the Vaulta network.

2. Information We Collect

Vaulta Wallet does not require you to create an account or provide personal information in order to use the Software. However, you may choose to contact us through official communication channels, such as email or support forms available on our website.

In such cases, you may voluntarily provide information including:

  • Your email address.
  • The content of your message or support request.
  • Technical details about your device or wallet environment that you choose to share for troubleshooting purposes.

We collect this information only when you actively submit it to us. It is used solely to respond to your inquiry, provide technical assistance, or improve user support. We do not use this information for marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making. Providing such information is entirely optional, and you may choose what details to disclose.

2.2 Information Necessary for Operation

Vaulta Wallet is designed as a local desktop application. The Software operates primarily on your device and does not require centralized user registration or continuous communication with servers operated by us.

In order to function properly, the Wallet processes certain technical data locally, including encrypted wallet files, application settings, configuration preferences, and cached blockchain data necessary to display balances and transaction history. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to the operators of Vaulta Wallet.

When you use the Wallet to retrieve blockchain data or broadcast transactions, the application connects to a Vaulta RPC endpoint. During this process, standard internet communication occurs between your device and the selected network infrastructure. Such communication may involve technical network information required for routing requests and receiving responses. This exchange is inherent to how blockchain clients function and is not used by us to identify, profile, or track users.

If you access official Vaulta Wallet websites, limited technical information may be processed automatically by website hosting infrastructure to ensure availability, security, and basic functionality. This may include standard server logs generated as part of normal web operations.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We DO NOT collect:

  • Private Keys or Recovery Phrases outside of your local device
  • Personal identification information such as government-issued IDs or residential addresses
  • Financial account details or banking information
  • Biometric data
  • Personal profiles or behavioral tracking data for advertising purposes

The Wallet does not create centralized user accounts and does not maintain a database linking individuals to specific blockchain addresses or Digital Assets. Ownership and transaction data recorded on the Vaulta blockchain remain public network data and are not controlled or stored by the operators of Vaulta Wallet.

3. How We Use Information

Vaulta Wallet collects only limited information necessary to operate the Software and respond to user communications. We do not use personal data for advertising, profiling, or resale. Any information processed is used solely for legitimate operational and support purposes, as described below.

Support Requests

Information you voluntarily provide when contacting us is used to respond to inquiries, resolve technical issues, and provide assistance.

Software Improvement

Aggregated and non-personal technical feedback may be used to improve usability, reliability, and compatibility of the Wallet.

Security Monitoring

Limited technical data may be reviewed to detect abuse, protect infrastructure, and maintain the integrity of official services.

Website Operation & Legal Compliance

Technical information generated through website access is used to maintain availability, prevent misuse, and ensure secure hosting. Information may also be processed when necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage Architecture

Vaulta Wallet is designed to operate primarily as a client-side application. Wallet data, including encrypted key material, configuration files, and cached blockchain information, is stored locally on your device. The Software does not transmit Private Keys, Recovery Phrases, or decrypted wallet credentials to servers operated by Vaulta Wallet.

  • Encrypted wallet files generated during wallet creation or import
  • Application configuration settings and user preferences
  • Cached blockchain state used to display balances and transaction history
  • Temporary session data required for active wallet operation

This information remains under your control within your device environment. Access to this data is governed by your operating system permissions and device-level security controls.

4.2 Technical and Organizational Safeguards

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any limited information that may be processed through official channels or website infrastructure. These measures may include secure hosting environments, encrypted communications where applicable, and restricted administrative access.

  • Use of encrypted communication protocols (such as HTTPS) for official websites
  • Access controls limiting internal handling of support communications
  • Separation between development, operational, and public-facing systems where applicable
  • Application-level encryption of locally stored wallet files

Vaulta Wallet follows a data minimization approach, meaning that we avoid collecting or retaining information that is not necessary for the operation of the Software or support services.

4.3 Infrastructure and Hosting Considerations

While the Wallet itself operates locally, official websites, documentation pages, and support communication channels may rely on third-party hosting providers. As part of standard internet operations, such infrastructure may automatically generate technical logs necessary for system maintenance, performance monitoring, and security.

These logs may include general technical metadata required for server functionality. They are not used by us to create user profiles or to link individuals to blockchain activity. We do not operate a centralized system for tracking wallet usage across devices. Vaulta Wallet does not maintain centralized databases linking user identities to blockchain accounts or Digital Assets.

4.4 Security Limitations

Although we implement reasonable safeguards, no software or infrastructure can guarantee absolute security. Risks inherent to digital systems may include:

  • Unauthorized access due to device compromise
  • Malware or phishing attacks targeting user credentials
  • Network-level vulnerabilities beyond the control of the Wallet operators
  • Third-party infrastructure failures

Users should understand that protection of locally stored wallet data ultimately depends on the security of their own device and operational environment.

Notice: Vaulta Wallet cannot access, recover, reset, or restore wallet data stored on your device. If local wallet files, Private Keys, or Recovery Phrases are lost, deleted, or compromised, recovery may not be possible.

5. Blockchain Privacy

It's important to understand that blockchain transactions are fundamentally public and permanent.

5.1 Public Nature of Blockchain Data

  • Transactions broadcast to the Vaulta network are recorded on-chain and may be visible to anyone using blockchain explorer tools or network infrastructure
  • Vaulta Wallet does not control what information is recorded on-chain; once confirmed, blockchain records are generally immutable
  • Transaction activity associated with a blockchain account may be observable by third parties
  • Blockchain systems are designed for transparency and verifiability

5.2 No Control Over On-Chain Records

Vaulta Wallet operates solely as a software interface for interacting with the Vaulta blockchain. We do not create, modify, host, or maintain the blockchain itself. Accordingly:

  • We do not store or maintain independent copies of blockchain transaction data beyond what is temporarily cached locally on your device
  • We cannot alter, erase, or restrict access to any information recorded on the Vaulta blockchain
  • We cannot control how third parties access, analyze, or interpret publicly available blockchain data
  • Any data recorded on-chain is governed by the protocol rules of the Vaulta network and not by this Privacy Policy

5.3 Privacy Considerations and User Responsibility

Although blockchain accounts may not directly contain personal identifiers, they may still be associated with individuals through external data sources. Linking a blockchain account to your real-world identity may reduce or eliminate pseudonymity.

  • You are responsible for understanding the privacy characteristics of blockchain technology before initiating transactions
  • Vaulta Wallet does not anonymize blockchain activity and does not provide built-in obfuscation tools
  • The Software facilitates interaction with the Vaulta network as defined by the protocol
  • Once information is recorded on-chain, it may remain publicly accessible indefinitely

Notice: Blockchain transactions are public and permanent. Vaulta Wallet cannot modify, delete, or restrict access to on-chain records once they have been confirmed on the Vaulta network.

6. Sharing of Information

Vaulta Wallet does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise monetize personal information. Because the Software operates as a non-custodial desktop application with minimal data collection, there is generally no centralized user database to share with third parties. Information that you voluntarily provide, such as support inquiries or email communications, is used solely for the purpose of responding to your request and is not disclosed to third parties for marketing or profiling purposes.

In limited circumstances, information may be processed or disclosed where necessary to maintain operational integrity, protect the security of our services, comply with applicable laws, or respond to lawful requests from regulatory authorities or law enforcement agencies. Where website hosting or technical infrastructure providers are involved, limited technical data may be processed by such providers strictly for operational and security purposes under their respective policies.

Apart from these limited situations, Vaulta Wallet does not share personal information with third parties. We do not create user profiles, do not engage in behavioral advertising, and do not provide blockchain-related activity data to external analytics companies for user tracking purposes.

7. Third-Party Services

Vaulta Wallet may rely on certain third-party infrastructure and external service providers in order to enable blockchain connectivity, retrieve publicly available market information, and maintain official web resources. These services operate independently from Vaulta Wallet and are governed by their own privacy policies and data handling practices.

Because the Software functions as a client application, most external interactions occur directly between your device and the relevant third-party infrastructure. Vaulta Wallet does not operate a centralized system that aggregates or profiles user activity across these services.

7.1 Node and RPC Providers

In order to retrieve blockchain data and broadcast transactions, Vaulta Wallet connects to Vaulta network nodes or RPC endpoints. These connections are necessary for reading account state, submitting signed transactions, and synchronizing with the blockchain.

Communication occurs directly between your device and the selected endpoint using standard internet protocols. Any network-level technical information exchanged during this process is inherent to blockchain clients and is not centrally stored or aggregated by Vaulta Wallet. The operators do not maintain independent databases of user transaction history beyond what is publicly available on-chain.

7.2 Market Data and Price Feeds

If Vaulta Wallet displays token prices, exchange rates, or other market-related information, such data may be sourced from external public APIs. Requests are limited to the information necessary to obtain pricing or market metrics. Vaulta Wallet does not transmit Private Keys, Recovery Phrases, or signed transaction data to price data providers and does not create user profiles based on these requests.

7.3 Website Hosting and Support Infrastructure

Official Vaulta Wallet websites, documentation pages, and support channels may be hosted using third-party infrastructure providers. These providers may process standard technical data necessary to ensure website availability, performance, and protection against malicious activity.

Such infrastructure operates independently under its own policies. Vaulta Wallet does not use website-related technical data to build behavioral advertising profiles or to link visitors with blockchain addresses. Communication submitted through support channels is processed only to respond to inquiries.

7.4 Overview of External Service Interactions

Service Type Purpose Data Involved
Node / RPC Providers Blockchain connectivity Standard network communication required to retrieve blockchain state and broadcast transactions
Price APIs Market data display Token symbols and price query requests necessary for market information
Website Hosting Site availability and security Standard server-generated technical logs
Support Communication User assistance Information voluntarily provided by the user

Vaulta Wallet does not sell personal information and does not use third-party services for targeted advertising or cross-platform behavioral tracking.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

8.1 Use of Cookies on the Website

Vaulta Wallet desktop application does not use cookies or browser-based tracking technologies, as it operates as locally installed software and does not rely on browser storage mechanisms. However, official Vaulta Wallet websites may use cookies or similar technologies as part of standard web functionality.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to represent that Vaulta Wallet is subject to any specific regulatory regime unless explicitly stated. Data processing obligations apply only to the extent required under applicable law.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements, operational practices, technical infrastructure, or the functionality of Vaulta Wallet. Updates may clarify how information is processed, introduce new safeguards, or adjust descriptions of services as the Software evolves. The revised Privacy Policy will become effective upon publication on the official website or within the Software, unless a different effective date is specified.

Your continued use of Vaulta Wallet or interaction with our official services after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you should discontinue use of the Software and related services.
